C3 is one of five Authorised Apple Macintosh Centres in South Africa.We are the oldest centre and will be celebrating our 16th birthday in November 2007. Situated in a residential house that has been converted into offices, C3 provides a comfortable but professional working environment for its employees. With a head-count of 20 people, our team consists of a sales team, technical support team, design/marketing team, development team and an administrativeteam.

Detailed description:

We are curently looking for a young, dyanmic individual to assist the MD in with ad-hoc tasks which are imperative to the smooth running of the company. The successful candidate must be "super organised", have the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and be deadline drive.

Responsibilities:

  • Reception work and answering of incoming calls

Helpdesk Consultant

Salary: R8,000

Position Synopsis:

We are currently looking for a second Helpdesk Consultant to help manage our Technical Support Team.

Detailed description:

We currently have a Helpdesk Consultant and are now recruiting for a second consultant due to the volume of work which is slowly mounting. This position will thus be responsible for assisting the other consultant in leading and managing our first tier Macintosh Technical Customer service centre. You will also be responsible for maintaining and building customer relationships in pre and post technical support. You will need to manage/motivate a small team of technical consultants ensuring an excellent level of service delivery and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Takes initiative
  • Acts as the first point of contact between our clients and our technicians
  • Attends to walk-in clients and does basic technical support, system diagnosis and repairs
  • Answers all incoming calls and provides first-line telephonic support in an attempt to resolve the technical query
  • Escalates all queries that cannot be resolved to a technician
  • Deals with customer queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Books appointments for technicians
  • Makes quality assurance follow-up calls the day after a technician was at a client to ensure that the job has been successfully completed
  • Follows up on outstanding Techie invoicing
  • Captures Timesheets and Service and Repairs.
  • Applies for warranties for clients and ensures that the stock is received and invoiced to client
  • Filing of all paperwork in a timely manner so as to have record of all work done
  • Motivates the technical support team to reach monthly targets
  • Identifies and implements processes to improve the running of the Helpdesk

Detailed description:

We are looking for someone that has the ability to create public interest in buying Apple products by informing the client about products and solutions. The information the person provides must helps consumers make educated choices about the wide variety of products and services available from C3.

The candidate must have the ability to greet and catch the attention of possible customers and quickly identify those who are interested and qualified. He/she will inform and educate customers about the features of products and inspire confidence in the product and its manufacturer.

Necessary training will be provided to allow the consultant to become familiar with the products so as to be able to relate detailed information to customers and to answer any questions that arise before, during, or after a sale. However, we are looking for a proactive candidate with above average intelligence who has the ability to assimilate a large volume of information and who thrives on keeping up to date with the latest technology.

Technician

Salary: R4500 – R8500 gross

We are currently looking for a Technician. The individual must be an independent, proactive worker with a solid technical background. The successful candidate must be passionate about his/her career. Clock-watchers are not wanted.

Employees are encouraged to write the MAC exams on a regular basis so as to keep up to date with the latest developments. This also ensures that they are able to provide an excellent service to their clients. All examination fees are paid for by the company.

C3 provides a relaxed, yet professional environment to develop and apply oneself in a technical environment. Our friendly and close-nit staff-unit provides the perfect work environment to excel and stretch oneself to one’s full potential.

Commission is also payable once targets have been met

Skills:

The initial focus of the position will be completing in-house development with a software application called FileMaker. FileMaker Pro is a cross platform database application from FileMaker Inc, known for its combination of power and ease of use. It is also noted for the integration of the database engine with its GUI-based interface, which allows users to modify the database by dragging new elements into the layouts/screens/forms that provide the user interface. This results in a 'quasi-object' development environment of a kind which is still largely unique in the "industrial strength" database world. 

The company's entire backbone is written in Filemaker. Thus, in-house development refers to development on the company's internal system which monitors every element of the company from the Sales, Technical, Accounting and Management departments. Furthermore, as we will be moving to a new premises, further development is required so as to support the expected  growth: thus the system will have to be developed into a stable and reliable system that can handle the demands of a growing company.

Other projects that will be handed over to the developer include:

  • A specialised recruitment site never seen before
  • Development of a Point of Sale System
